ENSIE Humana Nova is a proud member of ENSIE (European Network of Social Integration Enterprises), a European platform that brings together social enterprises focused on work integration. Through this network, we connect with partners across Europe who share a common vision – building a fairer and more sustainable society through employment.
Presentation of new members at the General Assembly
At the latest ENSIE General Assembly in Barcelona, four new members joined the network. We are very happy and proud that Humana Nova is one of them.
The introduction began with the words: Humana Nova is a great example of how social enterprises can successfully combine social inclusion with environmental sustainability. Through its work in the circular textile economy, the cooperative collects, reuses, and recycles discarded textiles, transforming them into high-quality products and reducing the amount of textile waste that would otherwise end up in landfills. During the same ENSIE General Assembly, a new Board of Directors was also elected.
What does ENSIE do?
ENSIE operates with the goal of strengthening the impact and role of social enterprises focused on integrating vulnerable groups into the labor market. Some of its key objectives include:
- Exchange of knowledge and experience among member organisations to promote best practices and innovative solutions.
- Networking and partnershipthrough joint projects, research, and the development of new working models.
- Advocating for the network’s interests before European institutions to help create supportive policies for social enterprises.
- Monitoring legislative frameworks and exchanging information on national and local policies affecting social enterprises.
- Joint shaping of European policy in the fight against social exclusion.
- Collaboration with other European networks in the field of social economy to achieve synergistic effects.
Membership in the ENSIE network allows us to learn, share, collaborate, and grow alongside partners who believe in social and environmental responsibility—just like we do.
