Earlier this month, eight thousand football fans at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb gave a thunderous round of applause to the Humana Nova team. We were honorary guests at the championship football match between Dinamo Zagreb and Slaven Belupo.
Just before the match started, the stadium announcer presented our work on textile recycling and employment of people with disabilities - areas in which Humana Nova is recognised as one of the leading social enterprises of the European Union.
Dinamo legends Velimir Zajec and Stjepan Deverić welcomed our delegation: 20 permanent Humana Nova employees, led by CEO Ivan Božić. As devoted Dinamo fans, we made sure to take pictures. We watched the match from the front rows, which was a fabulous experience in its own right. The match ended with a 4:2 victory for the home team.
Humana Nova currently employs 62 people and collaborates with several sports organisations. We are the creators of the O'Neilović jersey which the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, also known as DJ Diesel, wore at the international electronic music festival Forestland 2024. We produced equipment for the Zagreb Basketball Academy Mrav, and recently we made and handed over jerseys to the players for the first inclusive basketball (baskin) game ever played in Čakovec in Northern Croatia.
