DECIDE Final Conference Approaching

In May, we are hosting the EU-funded DECIDE project final conference.As one of 16 partners of this international project, Humana Nova worked on transferring and developing tools and good practices of the circular economy in the textile industry. We focused on digital services and tools that facilitate textile waste management and reuse through a commercial model.

The final conference will be held on May 13 at the Međimurje Technology and Innovation Center in Čakovec, Northern Croatia. Best practices and tools of the circular economy from Central European countries will be showcased and discussed. The all-day conference will be held in English. Full agenda and details will be announced shortly. So far, 60 people from a dozen European countries have confirmed their attendance. The event is hosted by the Croatian partners of DECIDE: Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), Technology and Innovation Center Međimurje (TICM) and Humana Nova, in cooperation with the Working Group for Circular Economy and Bioeconomy (WG CE&BE) of Priority Area 8 - Enterprise Competitiveness (PA 8) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR).

DECIDE is running from 1 January 2024 to 1 June 2026. It supports European small and medium-sized enterprises and supporting institutions in the development of circular economy business models. The emphasis is on practical methods, digital tools, knowledge exchange, and pilot projects in the areas of batteries, textiles, packaging, food and smart cities. The project is led by the Center for Digitalization from Böblingen, Germany, a supporting institution covering the wider Stuttgart area. Sixteen partners from ten countries of the Danube Region are participating. DECIDE is part of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region and is considered a key project for its development. The project is worth EUR 2.8 million in total. Humana Nova's share is EUR 95,850.
