Stable growth in 2025: € 2.4 million in revenue, 59 employees

With nearly 60 full-time employees, more than €2.4 million in revenue and 790+ tons of textile waste collected, the recently published 2025 business report captures Humana Nova's last year's results.

We expanded our client base and kept our total revenues at €2.4 million. The majority of last year's revenues (81.53 percent) was generated through the commercial sale of goods and services. A smaller part of Humana Nova's revenues in 2025 were subsidies (11.87 percent), donations (3.93 percent) and funds from several European projects in which we participate (2.67 percent).

Regarding our expense structure, costs are dominated by personnel, materials and energy for production. We reinvest 100 percent of our profits in new jobs creation, business development and equipment procurement. We concluded the last year with 59 employees, including 34 people with disabilities and 20 people from other vulnerable groups. We collected a record 791 tons of textile waste in cooperation with schools, kindergartens, associations, utility companies, as well as through direct contributions from citizens, with a significant increase in private sector engagement.

Furthermore, 2025 was a year of hard work on development projects in the fields of circular economy , work integration and inclusion. Humana Nova was among five selected initiatives from across Europe that were presented at the Social Innovation Forum in Brussels, dedicated to the development of social innovations and sustainable solutions.

We hold a number of certifications in quality, sustainability and responsible management (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 26000, Premium Green Certificate).

-Through our work in textile waste management, sustainable production and work integration of vulnerable groups, we build sustainable economic models with concrete social impact. That is the work of our employees, associates and partners. This report is a summary of our positive impact in 2025, said Humana Nova CEO Ivan Božić.

For the first time in 2025, we measured the carbon (CO₂) footprint of our business. The goal was not just to measure it, but to understand where it comes from and how to reduce it. The calculation includes direct emissions (from sources controlled by Humana Nova) and indirect emissions (generated in the production of electricity that we buy from suppliers). Humana Nova's total carbon footprint in 2025 was 27.2 tCO₂e. This means that 27.2 tons of carbon dioxide were generated as a result of our operations and business, which is less than the annual emissions of two average Croatian households. The largest part of our emissions comes from electricity consumption and vehicles we use to collect textiles. These are also key areas for future reduction.

Humana Nova marked its 15 years in business last week. Our mission is to employ people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups through a textile waste management system and responsible production of textile products from locally sourced, ecological materials. Our products are recognized for their high quality and innovation, and are sold locally and internationally through direct channels, our second-hand shop and our webshop. In addition to reducing textile waste, textile reuse contributes to the conservation of valuable resources such as water, land and energy, and encourages sustainable production and consumption through a circular economy system.
