We recently started preparations for projekta pošumljavanja i edukacije pod nazivom „Green Trail of Humana Nova“, a local afforestation and education project funded by INA's Green Belt 2026 program. The project will be implemented in the area of Mursko Središće, and the first meetings have already been held with city authorities. Currently, the selection of land that needs afforestation the most is underway.
The project includes a “Green Building” day. This is a one-day event that will bring together Humana Nova employees, kindergarten and elementary school students in Mursko Središće, volunteers, and local authorities to plant 150 seedlings. Also, the plan is to reforest a hectare of degraded land using 3,000 seedbombs which will be distributed by drones operated by the award-winning eco-startup and project partner Magic Forest. The project also includes four educational workshops on climate change, nature protection, biodiversity, and innovative afforestation methods.
The goal of the project is to restore degraded areas, increase biodiversity, and raise awareness of environmental protection by involving the local community. We expect that the project will help revitalize Mursko Središće and further strengthen cooperation between citizens, schools, volunteers and local authorities through joint care for nature.
INA's Green Belt is one of the oldest programs focused on environmental protection and local community development in Croatia. This year, ten projects are being financed through the program.
The uniqueness of the “Green Trail of Humana Nova” project is the partnership between the business sector and social entrepreneurship. Thanks to the support of INA and cooperation with the City of Mursko Središće, Humana Nova continues to combine sustainability, environmental protection and community involvement in creating positive changes.
