The event will bring together national and European business representatives, policymakers and industry experts to exchange experiences and discuss the future needs of the sector. We will also mark 25 years of the RREUSE network.

Program highlights
Tuesday, October 20
On Day 1, we will gather for a one-day conference in Zagreb to reflect on what has been achieved over the past 25 years, explore what’s working today, and discuss the challenges ahead and the action needed to shape the sector’s future.
Wednesday, October 21
On Day 2, we will travel to Međimurje for a day of site visits and exchange. The program includes a study visit, presentation and workshop at Humana Nova, followed by a visit to PRE-KOM, Croatia’s only reuse centre. Transport between Zagreb and the site visit locations will be arranged. However, spots are limited.
As key European initiatives such as the Circular Economy Act and the Social Economy Action Plan continue to progress, we will focus on turning policy goals into practical steps that will bring real change in social circularity.
Topics we will discuss:
- From European policy to local reality: How EU goals are implemented in national laws, where gaps still exist and what “old” and “new” member states can learn from each other.
- Bringing re-use and repair into practice: Lessons from key product streams including textiles, electrical and electronic equipment, furniture, and mattresses.
- Creating the right conditions for social enterprises: What policy, regulatory, and financial measures enable the social and circular economy to truly grow and develop.
- Learning at the European level: Sharing practical experiences and good practices from across Europe, including newer member states from Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as neighboring countries.
